Polypipe Civils, the UK’s leading manufacturer of pipeline solutions, has signed an estimated £1.3m contract with Mowlem plc, one of the UK’s leading construction and support services groups, for products supplied through their nominated building products distributor, Saint-Gobain Building Distribution UK. The contract covers the supply of ducting, drainage, sewerage and environmental systems including storm water management and control solutions.

This new deal signifies a major supply partnership opportunity for Polypipe Civils, Saint-Gobain and Mowlem plc, which offers a multi-disciplined civil engineering based supply chain spanning the full range of civils and related disciplines.

All parties will work together across a range of public and private sector clients. Their combined experience and knowledge will be utilised across a range of products and market sectors including rail, highways and utilities.

In recognition of this partnership, Mowlem plc and Saint-Gobain have been short listed in the Best Purchaser of the Supplier Partnership Category for the 2005 Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Awards. The nomination was announced this month and the awards will take place on 27th October 2005.
