Polypipe Civils, the UK’s leading manufacturer of ducting, drainage, sewerage and environmental systems has announced the launch of its new 1050mm sealed system incorporating a new 1050mm sealing ring and double coupler.

The sealed Ridgidrain 1050mm pipe is the answer to all non-pressure, surface and sub-surface water drainage applications. Weighing less than 6% of an equivalent sized concrete pipe, the new system has many advantages including a reduced health and safety risk, ease of transport, ease of handling and faster installation. The Ridgidrain pipe is strong and robust yet flexible allowing it to withstand some ground movement without fracture.

This new sealed system serves as an extension to Polypipe Civils’ existing large diameter range, adding to the 750mm and 900mm versions already available. With the launch of the new seal and coupler, Polypipe Civils is now able to offer complete sealed Ridgidrain pipes in sizes from 150mm to 1050mm, which is the largest range offering in the industry.


Joint performance tests in accordance with BS EN 1277 have been carried out on both products, in Poylpipe Civils’ UKAS accredited laboratory. Rigorous testing takes place to ensure that the best quality product benefits are provided.
